No One Else’s Space

Standing up for yourself is hard, like really hard. Lately, I’ve had to learn quickly how to advocate for my needs and speak my truth. I found myself in a difficult situation with someone I live with, and I had to make a choice that prioritized my well-being, even though they didn’t agree with my decision. It wasn’t easy, but I am proud I did it. No one should have to tolerate being disrespected in their own space. At the end of the day, you have to look out for yourself, because you know your needs better than anyone else. Learning to stand up for yourself isn’t just about one moment, it’s a skill you build over time. And every time you choose yourself, you get stronger.
